Sunil GavaskarSunil Gavaskar is India`s most prolific batsman with more than 10,000 runs and 34 centuries in a career spanning 125 Test matches. He has also played 108 ODIs, scoring over 3000 runs and led India to a memorable victory in the Benson & Hedges World Series Cup played in Australia in 1984-85. The former Indian captain has been a source of inspiration to a number of Indian cricketers and continues to influence them with his words of wisdon. Gavaskar was a member of the outstanding Rest of the World team that toured Australia in 1971-72, immediately after his memorable debut series against the Carribeans where he scored 774 runs.
