India lead by 74 runs at end of Day 2

Hyderabad, March 3 (IANS) India ended the second day's play at 311/1, taking a 74-run first innings lead in the second cricket Test match against Australia here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Sunday.

After India lost opener Virender Sehwag (6) in the fifth over of the day, Murali Vijay (129 not out) and Cheteshwar Pujara (162 not out) struck a 294-run partnership before play was called off for the day.
