India's narrowest Test victories against Australia

Terrific spells by Indian bowlers in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy

The pulsating climax against Australia at Mohali is destined to become part of Indian cricket folklore.

Down for the count at 124/8, the ailing duo of VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma added 81 for the ninth wicket to take the team to the doorstep of victory. A late twist in the tale looked likely as Australia prised out the obdurate Ishant with eleven still needed but, a few nerve-wrecking moments later, India ran out winners by a solitary wicket, its closest margin of victory ever.

Here's a brief look at a few other Tests that ended in India's favour by a whisker.
