Bollywood movies in the 1980s used to delight in showing a villainous foreign hand destabilizing the country. But in cricket, it has just been the reverse. The game was mired in match-fixing, mediocrity and confusion before the foreign hand came and became the saviour.
A triumvirate came and transformed the game.
