700 - Career wickets in test cricket was first achieved by none other than Shane Warne.
He reached the coveted feat during the Ashes test match at Melbourne in December 2006.
Shortly thereafter, he finished his career with a tally of 708 wickets.
His achievement was soon emulated by Muttiah Muralitharan who now stands at the top with just eight short of 800-wicket mark.
