Injury woes and withdrawals before Australian Open

Here is a list of top players who have either pulled out of the Australian Open because of injury or are battling injury ahead of the year`s first grand slam.

Rafael Nadal (Spain) -
A leg injury forced the French Open champion to pull out of the Sydney International, the last major warm-up tournament before the Australian Open. Nadal had felt pain in his right inner thigh and said he did not want to risk any more damage with the first grand slam of 2007 less than a week away.
