Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja has said that Australian batsmen are more impatient than their English counterparts, which was responsible for their poor show in the opening match of the Test series against India.
Hinting that Australia is set to lose the first Test of the series in a manner similar to the English last year, Jadeja said that Australian players showed their ego whenever the hosts bowled them maidens, News.com.au reports.
Jadeja further said that whenever the Indian players tried to contain the tourists for four overs, there is a chance that the Australians would play a rash shot, which he added, is what India is expecting from them.
However, Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques has said that Australia has not lost hope over the match, although he said that it would take an extraordinary effort to save his team in Chennai.
Australia was 9-232 at stumps, a 57 run 9th wicket partnership providing some respect to the side's efforts and some nuisance value to the Indians who looked set to inflict an innings defeat, the report added. (ANI)
