The Conditions
The venue has seen some good cricket played when the weather has been fine. A score of 160-170 has been generally safe, with the Delhi-Chennai match being an exception. What will encourage bowlers though, is the fact that batsmen can't just plonk their front foot down and hit through the line. It would require some good batting to reach a safe score, which gives the bowlers a chance too.
The all important weather forecast, looks fairly promising. It's expected to be partly cloudy, and there would be intervals of clouds and sunshine. As long as it's not mostly cloudy and the rains stay away, Kingsmead can be expected to provide another good contest.
