Match date: 27th April 2009
Venue: St George's Park, Port Elizabeth
Start time: 14:45 GMTGround reality and pitch:Officially known as the 'Sahara Oval', the St George's Park is known to be home to one of the oldest cricket clubs in South Africa, the Port Elizabeth Cricket Club. The ground hosted its first Test match in March 1889 when England defeated South Africa by eight wickets. This was South Africa’s first ever Test match.
Known for its windy conditions, the St George’s Park generally tends to favour the seamers towards the start. However, the batsmen have found the conditions easy once they get their feet moving. The previous two IPL matches played here have seen the teams scoring and chasing totals in excess of 150.
