Legendary swimmer Ian Thorpe has claimed he would once again like to return to the summit of his sport, and refused to rule himself out of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Thorpe failed to make it to the Australian Olympic team last year, going down in qualifying, but feels he still has lot to offer, News.com.au reports.
Thorpe said he still believes he has the capability to perform at the top level in swimming, adding that he couldn't qualify for the London Games because he didn't get enough time to train and was forced to make compromises.
Thorpe said it would be good if gets proper time to train and prepare himself so that he can come full circle in his swimming career.
Thorpe, who would be 32 by the time the 2014 Games roll around, was unstoppable in the 400m freestyle event between 1999-2004. (ANI)
