Young Manchester United prodigy Ryan Tunnicliffe is set to face manager Sir Alex Ferguson's famous hairdryer treatment after being charged with drink driving.
The 19-year-old was arrested and breathalysed after his 60,000 pound Range Rover was wrecked in a crash involving a van hours after he picked up the keys.
Tunnicliffe will appear at Bury Magistrates Court on October 25.
Pals of the Old Trafford midfielder have warned Tunnicliffe that he could face a painful dressing down from fiery manager Ferguson, who doesn't have a knack of tolerating indiscipline.
Two months ago, the stern Scot issued a warning to players about their choice of cars, and he banned team members aged fewer than 23 from buying sporty motors.
"The fact that Ryan's wrecked his car so soon after Fergie's warning isn't going to go down too well," the Sun quoted a United source, as saying.
"And, having been charged with drink-driving makes it doubly bad, the source added.
