Australian hurdler and YouTube sensation Michelle Jenneke is reinventing herself into a mechatronic engineering student at Sydney University.
The 19-year-old, whose warm-up dance at last year's world junior track and field championships in Barcelona has been seen by more than 19 million on YouTube, started her engineering degree at the University on Monday, just days ahead of her first major event of the year at Sydney Olympic Park, the Daily Telegraph reported.
It was a return to normalcy after her dancing hurdler clip went viral, gaining her worldwide attention, a wedding proposal and a spot in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
"I take it as it comes. It has bought some amazing opportunities for me. I'm just really embracing it," the national under-20 champion said of her YouTube fame. (ANI)
