Pakistani left-arm seamer Sohail Tanvir will be taking part in the domestic Twenty20 tournament for South Africa after re-signing with the Lions franchise.
According to Lions coach Geoffrey Toyana, the experienced Tanvir, who was a part of the Lions squad during the last season of the T20 tournament, is a valuable addition to the team as he fits easily into the existing talent of the team, the Daily Times reports.
Toyana also said that his team has enjoyed a good season and added that he looked forward to ending the season on the highest possible form.
Tanvir said that he is hoping to help the Lions win the T20 cup again, like the 2006-07 season.
Tanvir is one of four internationals who have been confirmed for the tournament so far. Owais Shah and Azhar Mahmood will represent the Cape Cobras, while Ravi Bopara will turn out for the Dolphins, the paper added. (ANI)
