Delhi clash with Rajasthan in contest of equals

Virender Sehwag decimated the Royals in the previous encounter betweeen the two teams

The last time these two teams met, was at the start of the IPL, and Virender Sehwag made the match a no-contest. After that win for Delhi and Rajasthan's subsequent annihilation at the hands of Bangalore, people would have bet good money against the fact that when the teams met next, both would be on equal points, and Rajasthan would actually have a better net run rate.
Welcome to the vagaries of Twenty20 cricket.

Although Delhi did experience a slump of sorts, some of it was down to plain bad luck with injuries - something that is likely to affect them in this match too, with Dirk Nannes ruled out for ten days. Delhi will be fervently hoping that Ashish Nehra has made a full recovery and will play in this match, since otherwise they would have none of their experienced seamers available - with Parnell already out of the tournament.
