Preview: India keen to maintain winning momentum against South Africa

Image: MS Dhoni will be missing the imposing presence of Sachin Tendulkar

The last time India played South Africa in a limited-overs series, the two sides played 3 ODIs, but all the talk had centred around what one man did in the second ODI on February 24th. Sachin Tendulkar is, however, not playing in this tournament, and the way the pitches have been behaving, a score of 200 is unlikely by the entire team.

On the evidence available so far, the pitches are not the batting-fests that people got used to during most of the IPL, and the boundaries have not been pulled in to ensure that commentators get to say "DLF Maximum" every over. That has, so far, provided for a compelling battle, where 140 is a good score, and 160 a match-winning one in all probability.
