Donald George Bradman was, is and will always be the one in whose safekeeping that exalted title shall remain.

The most famous duck in cricketing history

In the years that have gone by since he hung up his cricketing boots, some of the Don's records have been surpassed - mostly because of the proliferation of Test cricket.

But the magical batting average of 99.94 - perhaps the single most famous statistic in the game - will stand forever as the most compelling testament to his genius.
