A group of readers of disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong's bestseller 'It's Not About the Bike' have filed a lawsuit against Armstrong and his publishers in California, accusing them of fraud and false advertising.

Rob Stutzman, a public affairs consultant from Sacramento, California and one of the readers, said in his lawsuit that he bought the book as he falsely believed that it was a true and honest non-fictional account of the cyclist's life, when in fact the reverse turned out to be true, reports CNN.

Stutzman, who is a former deputy chief of staff for former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, also said that he had met Armstrong many years before the cyclists' present fate, and thanked him for writing the book.

Stutzman was joined by a Sacramento chef and cycling enthusiast, Jonathan Wheeler, in his lawsuit.

The lawsuit has asked for any damages, fees of attorneys and other similar expenses to be paid by the defendants. (ANI)
