Sachin's Super Six

ë“¡chin

At the age of 37, Tendulkar is in the form of his life, averaging a near-Bradmanesque 93.61 in Tests this year, and deservedly winning the ICC Player of the Year award last week. Thus, it was no surprise when Tendulkar equalled Virender Sehwag's Indian record of six Test double centuries with his knock of 214 against Australia in Bangalore.

Coming in after India had lost two early wickets, he was quick to pounce on the loose deliveries, giving Nathan Hauritz a torrid time. Having narrowly missed out on a ton during the previous Test in Mohali, Tendulkar decided he wasn't going to muck about in the nineties. He struck Hauritz for two successive sixes to move from 93 to 105 and in the process created a new record by bringing up his century with a six for the fifth time in Tests.

In the form that he is in, a double century was inevitable, although a triple continues to elude him, for the moment. Read on to refresh your memory about his previous doubles.
