Sania Mirza (seen celebrating her win) and top seed Vera Zvonareva of Russia advanced to the final of the WTA`s Pattaya Open in contrasting styles on Saturday.
Zvonareva raced through her semifinal against seventh-seeded Shahar Peer of Israel to win 6-1, 6-4 in just 61 minutes.
The Russian has now beaten Peer, the 2006 Pattaya champion, in all of their five matches.
Mirza had a tougher time but overcame a blown opportunity for a straight sets victory to beat Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 in her semifinal.
