Sachin Tendulkar: Cricket is proud to have an entertainer like him. Record books feel privileged to inscribe his name and we, as his devoted fans, feel hysterical whenever the Little Master wields a bat.
And 2010 saw Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar soar new heights as his rivals watched in incredulity records being hammered with ease by the Master.
First, the Proteas went awry as Sachin re-wrote the record books hammering the first double century in the history of one-day cricket at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in February 2010 against the visiting South African team.
Then at the year-end, he created another record while playing against the same opponent in South Africa - slamming his 50th Test ton.
He played 197 deliveries and took 258 minutes to reach the milestone. He hit 12 boundaries and a big six over long-off. It was his seventh century in the year 2010.
