It was along expected lines. All the same it is not without the dramatic touch. Sourav Ganguly's decision to call it a day at the end of the Test series against Australia brings to an end a long and illustrious career. As batsman and captain Ganguly has earned everlasting fame. His place in Indian cricket as the finest left-handed batsman produced by the country and the most successful captain in Indian cricket history is secured and unchallenged.
