The WADA controversy

Controversies have always been part and parcel of a cricketer's life. And the latest to give them heartache is WADA's 'Whereabouts' clause.

What is the controversy all about?

The International Cricket Association and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) have asked the Indian cricketers to sign WADA's code in which they have to submit information of their whereabouts in advance for three months.

They have to provide exact location and details so that they can be randomly tested for one hour in a day.

And whenever there's a change in address or location of their availability they need to inform the WADA officials by SMS or online.

WADA regulations state that three missed disclosures of whereabouts in an 18-month period could result in a two-year ban from international cricket.
