There was to be one last gallant attempt though. Wicket-keeper Wasim Bari (11 off 13 balls) and Nawaz (14 off 13) almost pulled off a once-improbable win with an unbeaten ninth wicket-stand that yielded 27 runs and brought their side to within four runs of the Indian total. In a match that went to the wire, Mohinder(in pic) ended as not only the highest scorer but also India`s most successful bowler with figures of 2-38. Fittingly, he was crowned the Man of the Match.
