Manipal, Jan 3 (IANS) Five-times winners Bombay will take on Jain University, Bangalore in the two-day final of the Inter-Zone University cricket tournament at the Manipal University ground here Saturday. They set up the title clash with comfortable wins over Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and Jiwaji University, Gwalior, respectively, here Thursday.
This is the second time that the teams will meet in the Rohinton Baria tournament. Last year they played for the third and fourth places and Bombay were the winners.
Bombay beat Jamia Millia Islamia University by 60 runs while Jain University outplayed Jiwaji Gwalior to record an eight-wicket win.
At MIT: Jain University, Bangalore beat Jiwaji University, Gwalior by eight wickets. Jiwaji University: 116 all out in 38.2 overs (Sohrab Dhaliwal 35, Prashant Mahvai 38; C.A. Karthik 2 for 22, Shashindra 3 for 16, Daniel Sequeira 2 for 20) vs Jain University: 117 for 2 (Siddarth KV 56 not out and Samarth Ravi 43 not out).
At Manipal University Ground: Bombay University beat Jamia Millia islamia, Delhi by 60 runs.
