What the Aussie press said at Perth
Clearly India will not get any better with the current group of ageing stars.

Most in danger would appear to be Rahul Dravid, who has just turned 39.

The affable top order batsman is nicknamed The Wall because of his immaculate defensive technique but in this series he has become The Gap.

Four times in five innings he has been bowled playing across the ball after being caught on his crease instead of pressing forward. Credit to the Australians for clever planning.

That means he has been bowled in seven of his last nine innings.

It is unsustainable that India ploughs on relentlessly with such an ageing batting line-up.
