Who is Jwala Gutta ?

Jwala Gutta has been thrown into the spotlight after a Mumbai tabloid published a report linking her with Mohammad Azharuddin.

Gutta, a 26-year-old Badminton player from Hyderabad, is renowned for her performance in Women's Doubles with partner Shruti Kurien. She currently holds the no 7 rank for Women's Doubles in international Badminton.

Jwala is of mixed heritage, having an Indian father and a Chinese mother. She began her career at the tender age of 10 and has won the National Doubles Championship seven years in a row with Shruti Kurien. She has also won the Mixed Doubles National Championship four times and several international titles.

She has been married to Badminton ace Chetan Anand since 2005.
