Yankee fans are worried that losing two of Charlie's Angels may be the reason why two Yank greats have been knocked off their game.
Yankees' Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter have been under performing ever since they split from Charlie's Angels stars Cameron Diaz and Minka Kelly respectively.
"There's a direct relationship between their batting averages plummeting and their breaking up with their girlfriends," the New York Daily News quote Aaron Lynah, 31, of the upper West Side, who was watching last night's game against the Tigers at McGarry's in midtown, as saying.
"If you're with a good woman, in your mind you have the inspiration to play harder," he added.
Lynah's friend Steve Rewinski, 27, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, said that Jeter and A-Rod need to meet a nice city girl.
"Everyone in New York should do their part to help the boys," he said. "Come on, ladies. Step up," he said.
Since Diaz and Rodriguez reported their split in mid-September, the third baseman's average has dropped to 0.150. A-Rod was 0-2 with two walks and an RBI on Monday night.
The news doesn't get a lot better for Derek Jeter, who was 2-5 in Game 3, including the last out.
His 0.264 average since his split with Minka Kelly isn't nearly as bad as A-Rod's, but he is still underperforming in comparison to the 0.299 he was batting before the beauty went her separate way. (ANI)
