The first players' poll in February's edition of Inside Cricket magazine has revealed that almost every Australian cricketer believes spot-fixing is not present in domestic cricket.
Over 100 Australian cricketers were quizzed during the poll over spot-fixing and around 92 percent of them believe that they never heard about spot-fixing in Australia's domestic circuit.
None of them confirmed the presence of spot-fixing in Australian cricket but eight percent believed that they were unsure of it, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
But when asked if they thought spot-fixing problem exists in international cricket, 48 percent of the Australian cricketers said yes while 38 percent were unsure about it and only 16 percent believed it's not even present on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Australian Cricketers' Association chief executive Paul Marsh believes he isn't surprised by the players response, as spot-fixing isn't a problem faced by Australian cricket for now.
"We talk to the players regularly about it and I've never heard a player even raise a suspicion about anything untoward happening in a game in Australia," said Marsh to a news agency.
"Clearly there have been issues in the international game but we have a high level of confidence that these issues don't currently exist in Australia," he added. (ANI)
