Benjamin Pavard's strike voted best goal of FIFA World Cup

[Switzerland], July 26 (ANI): French footballer Benjamin Pavard's stunning strike against Argentina in the round of 16 clash in the recently-concluded 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup Russia has been voted as the best goal of the tournament.

The 22-year-old pierced into opposition's defending area and scored a fabulous goal to level the scorecard 2-2 in the 57th minute of the match.

France went on to win the match 4-3 and later defeated Croatia 4-2 to clinch their second World Cup title.

Meanwhile, Colombian footballer Juan Quintero's free-kick against Japan in their group stage clash was voted as the second best goal of the tournament and Luka Modric's strike for Croatia against Argentina was the third best. (ANI)
