"Anyone who plays for the cricket team is an Indian their caste or colour shouldn't be discussed"

This was Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh's epic response to former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt who questioned the lack of Muslim representation in the Indian cricket team.

On Sunday, the day when India locked horns with New Zealand in the first One Day International in Mumbai, Bhatt wrote: Is there any Muslim player in the Indian cricket team at this time? How many times did this happen to the Indian cricket team in India? What Muslims have stopped playing cricket? Or are the rules of any other game to choose?

Harbhajan responded to Bhatt's criticism in his unique style.

The turbantor's tweet was retweeted over 2K times.

In the current Indian Test squad, fast bowler Mohammed Shami is already one of the Muslim cricketers, who will be in action during the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

Whether it is the timing of the tweet or not, Mohammed Siraj too was named in the Indian squad for the Twenty20 Internationals against New Zealand when the selectors announced the list on Monday. Siraj was also picked up for the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
