Chennai Super Kings, eyeing a record fourth Indian Premier League title have suffered an early blow with South Africa speedster Lungi Ngidi being ruled out of the 12th edition.
The men-in-yellow will definitely miss the services of the 22-year-old right-arm pacer, who they had retained before the auction.
Ngidi will miss this season as he is nursing a side strain.
As per media reports say that Ngidi developed the side strain during the fifth and final One Day International against Sri Lanka at the Newlands in Cape Town.
The youngster was drafted in by CSK last season at his base price of Rs. 20 lakhs and Ngidi proved his worth picking up 11 wickets in seven matches with best bowling figures of 10/4.
