Chennai: John Buchanan will be the Kolkata Knight Riders coach no more, it has been reported.
The Knight Riders management arrived at the decision a month after their team's below-par showing in the premier club-level Twenty20 tournament.

The former Australian coach hogged the headlines for all the wrong reasons during the event, including for his much-derided multiple-captaincy theory and for his sudden decision to send Aakash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar home deeming them unfit for the shortest version of game.
The decision frees Buchanan to devote his energies entirely to his new short-term stint as coaching consultant.
