Cricket South Africa set to name seventh T20 team

Cricket South Africa will reveal the seventh team for this season's domestic T20 Challenge - two days before the competition begins.

"CSA will unveil the name and composition of the seventh team that will compete at franchise level for the first time," Sport 24 quoted a CSA statement, as saying.

It added that it would also announce the full list of nationally contracted players for the 2012/13 season.

The unnamed seventh team will join the six SA franchises for the sponsorless competition.

Unconfirmed reports stated that former Proteas bowling coach Vincent Barnes would coach this seventh team.

The launch of the T20 Challenge was indefinitely postponed earlier this week. (ANI)
