Mumbai: Daljit Singh, who headed the now disbanded Pitches and Grounds Committee of the Cricket Board, would work as a consultant in the preparation of Wankhede Stadium wicket ahead of the 2011 World Cup.
"We have requested Daljit Singh to help us in the preparation of the wicket once the work on the 40-yard area in the centre of the ground commences on March 1. He will work in the capacity of a consultant," Mumbai Cricket Association's treasurer and World Cup tournament director Prof Ratnakar Shetty said on Wednesday.
