Suresh Raina celebrated his belated debut in the Colombo Test with a classy ton. It was almost like he was itching to prove a point to the selectors, having achieved the slightly dubious distinction of playing the most ODIs - 98 - before debuting in Tests.
The 24-year-old had even captained India in the shorter version of the game. And yet it took an injury to Yuvraj Singh for him to get the coveted opportunity, which he did not squander. Here's a look at some of the other Indian debutants who achieved the same distinction.
