England all rounder Chris Woakes has said fast bowler James Anderson is a role model for every player in the dressing room, adding the Lancashire swinger could break many more records in future.
On Sunday, Anderson overtook Sir Ian Botham to become the man who has taken most wickets in an England shirt, the Sun reports.
Anderson's current tally stands at 529 with 288 in Test cricket, 223 in one-day internationals and 18 in Twenty20 internationals.
Woakes, who has the chance on the current tour of New Zealand to establish himself in England's team for the first time, said he believes he is playing with one of the greats i.e. Anderson.
Woakes added to smash the record like Anderson did is a great achievement, adding he is a role model and someone he aspires to be like.
The Warwickshire all rounder added Anderson still has many years in front of him, and he is sure he is going to break many more records.
Woakes said Anderson is always passing on his knowledge, and his communication on the field is fantastic and he wants to play cricket the way he does. (ANI)
