Q: You've had a preview of the 2014 spec engines and you didn't like the way they sounded. In fact, you hoped they'd be banned! What's the way forward for F1 then? Is it environment friendly quiet engines or the high revving engines that we have today?

Bernie Ecclestone: Yes, they sound bad. I like the way the current engines sound. It's surprising that women seem to like the way these sound, too. While holding on to the 'sound' of Formula One we must move forward with environment friendly approaches, too.
