Islamabad: Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has admitted he was involved in spot-fixing three years ago.
The International Cricket Council banned Butt for 10 years — five of them suspended — after fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif bowled predetermined no-balls during a test against England in 2010.
Butt's appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport was also rejected in April.
Butt said in Lahore on Friday he apologized "to all those who have been disappointed by my action," and accepted the ICC ban.
He also said he was available for a rehabilitation program.
