Ganguly lavishes praise on Sehwag

Kolkata: Star cricketer Sourav Ganguly today lavished praise on Virender Sehwag for his triple century against South Africa in the Chennai Test, saying the two three-plus innings played by the dashing willower in the longer variety of the game demonstrated his greatness.

"Both the knocks, at Chennai and at Multan (opposite Pakistan four years back), were great. And they only proved his greatness as a batsman, " Ganguly told newspersons before leaving for Chennai.

He, however, refused to make any comparison between the two essays. "Both have their own values".

On South Africa's fine batting performance in the series opener, Ganguly said cryptically "They got a flat wicket". Ganguly, who leads the Kolkata Knight Riders team of the Indian Premier League, said he has got a good bunch of players. "We have a lot of match winners".

On the reported announcement of actor Shah Rukh Khan, who owns Kolkata Knight Riders team, that he could think of dissociating himself from the IPL if he did not make profit after the first year, Ganguly said, "Naturally, why should he continue if there was no profit? It is the duty of us, the players, to make sure that the IPL was a big hit and made profit."
