It was only for the second time in the history of Test cricket that a side lost a five-day encounter in just two days.
South Africa (versus England, Port Elizabeth, 1889) is the only other side to lose their maiden Test inside two days.
This is the second shortest Test (balls bowled) in Asia in which a result was produced after 893 balls in the Pakistan vs Australia Sharjah Test in 2002. These two are the only Tests in Asia that finished inside two days.
