When we were batting, at one stage, Amarnath and Yashpal had added just 14 runs in 12 overs. There was no panicking in the team but I started getting phone calls from our supporters asking me to explain what was happening. When several such calls came, I started to get anxious. During the tea interval, Amarnath saw me worried and asked me what was wrong and I said nothing. He said, ㄯn`t worry, Man, we will win comfortably.⒠Here again, we got a lucky break. Amarnath drove a ball uppishly and (Derek) Randall picked it up. He himself was not sure if he had taken the catch cleanly and said so to the umpire. However, (David) Gower who was fielding next to him insisted that Randall had picked up the catch cleanly. Amarnath was given not out. There were no third umpire or TV replays in those days.
