The Football Association chairman David Bernstein has said that he is not concerned about the hype surrounding Harry Redknapp leading England into the Euro 2012 Finals this summer.
But he recognizes the pressure he's under to appoint Redknapp.
Bernstein also feels that the whole nation wants the next manager to be English.
"I'm not concerned about the hype. We live in the real world. The national mood would clearly prefer an English manager and it would be nice to reflect the national mood," The Mirror quoted Bernstein, as saying.
He also praised Redknapp and his achievements lately. The guy's done amazingly recently, he's a fine manager and he's English," he said.
Redknapp was found not guilty last Wednesday, just hours before Fabio Capello resigned as England boss, and now he wants to see out the season with Spurs and guide them into the Champions League. (ANI)
