Electing to bat first, the famed Australian batting line-up put the Indian attack to the sword as Australia posted a mammoth 350/4. India responded strongly with Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar putting on a blistering partnership of 66 in nine overs.
Tendulkar played one of the best innings of his glittering ODI career and India were in the hunt till he was at the crease. He scored 175 off just 141 balls studded with 19 fours and four sixes.
However, Tendulkar departed with 19 runs needed to win and India imploded to lose a cliffhanger by three runs.
