India vs Australia, 2nd ODI, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, 16th October 2013
Result: India won by nine wickets.
Each of Australia’s top five batsmen posted half-centuries as a clueless Indian attack failed to stop the onslaught. Australia posted a staggering 359/5 off their 50 overs and were in the driver’s seat at the halfway stage.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave a fitting reply to the Aussies putting on a century partnership and India reached 176 in the 27th over. After the departure of Dhawan, Virat Kohli came to the crease and carried on the good work and in tandem with Rohit ground the Aussie attack into the dust.
Rohit scored a blistering 141 and Kohli scored the fastest century by an Indian in ODIs off just 52 balls, as India romped home with 6.3 overs to spare. Rohit Sharma was adjudged the Man of the Match.
