IPL teams and the glamourous ladies behind the scenes

Every IPL has its fair share of fascinating cricket. And a fair share of the fairer sex! Some of these lovelies have been part of the mix from day 1, of season 1, and then there are some that joined the bandwagon along the way, over its 4 colorful seasons!

Kings XI Punjab and Preity Zinta: To start at the very beginning, she brought a lot of the attention to the auction (which 4 years ago wasn't a televised event) as she bid for her team with her Beau in tow! Images of her at the dugout frantically waving her flag and hugging her boys will go down in IPL history. A super supportive, hands-on team owner who stuck by her team through thick and thin, good times and in bad, in sickness and in health!

Mumbai Indians and Mrs Ambani: a constant support, the friend, philosopher and guide of these boys in blue, from the 1st season itself, even before the Mumbai Indians had really found themselves.

Mrs Ambani metamorphosised herself over these 4 years -- as did her team.

Kolkata Knight Riders: Juhi Chawla has been around and a part of the party from day 1 and with SRK leading the charge, there has never been any shortage of glamorous support for this team. This year the team got the furthest they have ever gotten. Maybe Priyanka Chopra was their lucky charm!

Deccan Chargers and Gayatri Reddy: This lovely young girl was groomed over the years by her indulgent father, T. Venkattram Reddy, to become the face of the Chargers Team. She has always been present at all the auctions and matches lending her quiet support, seeing her team thru to the end, whatever the outcome.

Rajasthan Royals: Shilpa Shetty entered in season 2, fresh off her Big Brother victory. She worked the look, looking fabulous in her RR t-shirt and white pants and on special occasions: the lovely bandgala. She's always been an emotional and committed franchise owner. This season, the glamour stakes went soaring up for the team, as Liz Hurley’s presence and her many on field kisses planted on the captain, shook up Jaipur and the IPL!

Royal Challengers Bangalore: The 1st few seasons saw the pretty Katrina Kaif bringing a lot of the attention to this sensational red team. But as the youngest Mr. Mallya made his foray into the IPL, so did his choice of lucky (glamour) mascot. There was plenty of PDA between Sidhartha and the lovely, sporty Deepika Padukone this season, in the stands, and in the Box. Both of them had the stadium cameras very busy and buzzing, every time they were shown together.

CSK has always had lady luck favoring the team, but never really a lucky lady!

But the Captain’s marriage last year has changed all that. The young and spunky Mrs D, is now the face of the team of fellows in yellow!

Kochi Tuskers employed the services of Riya Sen as the face of the team but she showed up for a few games with a pouty and grim face! But it's early days for them in this tournament. As time goes by I'm sure she will work out her cricket look!

Pune Warriors: The team didn't have a good cricket season, but plenty of pretty ladies did show up to support them. Dia Mirza, Diana Hayden, Neha Dhupia, all the Miss India contestants and their cheer queens -- to name quite a few! And with their Captain being a Ladies man himself, you can rest assure that there will be no shortage of ladies supporting this team in the future.
