Sharma, Akmal fined over Bengaluru incident

New Delhi: Indian bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma were cautioned by umpire Aleem Dar for their un-sportsman like conduct after clinching Australian wickets on the third day of the fourth cricket Test here Sunday at the Ferozeshah Kotla.

Pacer Sharma, after bowling out James Pattinson in Australia's second innings, was seen showing the pacer the way back to the pavilion, mouthing words. Immediately, Pakistani umpire Dar called for India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and had a word with him.

In the case of Ravindra Jadeja, the left-arm spinner was also cautioned by Dar for his wild celebrations after dismissing opener David Warner.

After trapping Warner plumb in front of the wickets, Jadeja started celebrating wildly even before the umpire had raised his finger and signalled Warner to go back to the pavilion.

After the send-off, Dar, who was standing at square leg, cautioned Jadeja. He called Tendulkar, who in return spoke to Jadeja.

Jadeja Saturday was also involved in a verbal tussle with Warner during India's first innings when both skippers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shane Watson, had to intervene to stop the spat.

Both Sharma and Jadeja could be fined up to 50 percent of their match fees if match referee Ranjan Madugalle of Sri Lanka finds them guilty of violating the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct.
