[U.K], June 5 (ANI): Nottinghamshire seamer Jake Ball has been called into the England ODI squad as a cover for injured Chris Woakes for the early part of the five-match series against Australia, beginning June 13 at The Oval.
Woakes bagged four wickets before he was forced to leave the field with tightness in his right quad at the end of the Pakistan's second innings during the drawn second Test of the two-match series against England.
He was subsequently ruled out of the one-off ODI against Scotland in Edinburgh on June 10 and will also remain unavailable for the first part of the Australian series.

Ball, 27, last played for England at the start of the year in Perth and was an integral member of the squad that defeated Australia 4-1 in the series Down Under.
