Here we are at finals time with the top two teams in IPL 6, Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians, facing off in a classic showdown for the trophy.
Mumbai played an incredible match against the Rajasthan Royals on Friday to reach this stage and deserve to be there.
Sachin Tendulkar has unfortunately missed out on the action in the last few games due to his ill-timed injury, but he and Harbhajan Singh have led the way all season, with top-line support from a string of international talent including Dwayne Smith, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Johnson.
Malinga didn't get the rewards against Rajasthan, but has proven his worth all tournament, as has Mitchell Johnson. They are the key to their chances.
Chennai, by comparison, have been the team to beat all season. Led by the brilliant MS Dhoni, they play well under pressure and have firepower with the bat and ball - Mike Hussey has topped the tournament run chart with 732 runs and Dwayne Bravo has taken the most wickets. Crucially, their team has the ability to click up a gear in big moments, which is why I'm tipping the Super Kings.
Off-field drama has generated a lot of distracting headlines this week, but as long as the players focus out in the middle, they should be ok.
It's been a shame to see match fixing and spot fixing allegations come up again in this tournament.
When it’s all over, fans should be remembering the record-breaking performances of Chris Gayle, the incredible innings of David Miller, and the amazing five wicket hauls pulled off by James Faulkner, but until these criminal elements are out of the game, there is the very real danger this won’t happen.
