South Africa coach Gary Kirsten has said that his team will not lose their focus, and he added that no extra motivation is needed for his players ahead of the dead rubber final Test against Pakistan in Centurion on Friday.

The former opener said that the Proteas will make sure that they are highly competitive and a difficult side to beat during each time they went out on the cricket field, Sport24 reports.

Stating that his team has bigger goals to dream about, Kirsten said that they were not isolating the upcoming match or the series, although he added that his team may come close to winning the game.

Kirsten further said that it is crucial for his team to maintain their consistency level from the success of last year, as they have set a blueprint for themselves which includes some long term goals.

He added that he will continue to pick a full strength team in every Test match that he is involved in, and said that it is a big thing to represent one's country.

Kirsten added that he kept his players well-informed about their positions within the team.

According to Kirsten, the Proteas were wary of Pakistan, despite being 2-0 in the series, but added that similar to the Newlands Test, his team will again respond strongly to the pressure by Pakistan.
