Australia crush India to seal series triumph

PERTH: The Indian team will have a three-day rest before resuming their net sessions on Saturday in Adelaide for the fourth and the final Test against India starting January 24.

India underwent a three-hour training session at the WACA Ground on Tuesday and a team official informed that they would travel to Adelaide on Wednesday and have the following two days off, resuming in the nets Saturday.

The Indian team has been severely criticised by former captain Sunil Gavasakar for skipping training sessions.

India trail 0-3 in the series and are staring at another 0-4 whitewash in less than seven months. However, Indian opener Gautam Gambhir said the mood in the team was good.

"The mood is absolutely fine. There's another Test match coming up so we need to be up for it. We need to be positive. Hopefully we can play well in Adelaide and we can take the momentum into the one-day series (against Australia and Sri Lanka)," he said.

Virender Sehwag will be leading the team in Adelaide since Dhoni has been slapped with a one-match ban for slow over rate in Perth.

Gambhir expected Sehwag to play a key role in Adelaide.

"The way he bats, he's going to be a bit aggressive. Ultimately I've always believed that a captain is only as good as his team. It's not only about 'Viru' (Sehwag) and what difference he can bring to the team. If we play well as a unit, that's what we will look to do," he said.
